Description
On a beautiful late-summer morning, we travelled north from San Diego, heading towards Los Angeles; I shot this sign not far north of San Diego. Depending on where you are in California, the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) is either California 101 or California 1. If you get the opportunity to drive on the PCH, north or south of Los Angeles, definitely do it. It's one of the most scenic drives in the United States. One day, I hope to be able to drive every mile of it on one trip, from top to bottom.
In keeping with the historic theme of this photograph, I have softened the colours and given it a bit of grain, to honour the vintage appeal of this old route marker. I've also added an off-white border to complete the look.
