Artist's Description
In downtown Chicago, the stairways leading up to the various "L" transit stations abound; "the el" stands for elevated, as this public transportation system operates mostly above street level. This particular set of stairs captured my attention because of all the rusty goodness I saw (yes, I like finding old, rusty things).

My speciality is Americana, particularly vintage signage. I'm always eager to hit the road in search of new discoveries, maybe an old diner or historic graveyard, perhaps a roadside motel or an abandoned drive-in.
