Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. This Dairy Queen on Route 1 (US 1) in New Smyrna Beach in central Florida has a historic plaque on the front and is an absolute vintage delight. Their old neon sign is a wonderful sight to behold. We have visited it day and night and it's always busy.
